Cade Cunningham Brutally Rips Pistons After 11th Straight Loss

The Detroit Pistons have lost 11 games in a row and starting point guard Cade Cunningham is tired of losing.

After the Pistons got blown out by the Toronto Raptors on November 19, Cunningham didn’t hold back while speaking to reporters.

“We got to be realistic about the situation,” Cunningham said. “It’s hard to just be like, ‘We’re good, we’re good,’ you know what I’m saying? Because we’re bad. We have to address that. We have to address what we’re not good at. Address it with not only our words but on the court, in the huddles.”

The Pistons are 2-12 on the season. They have the worst record in the NBA and haven’t won a game since October 28 versus the Chicago Bulls.

“Unacceptable,” Cunningham said. “We’re the youngest team in the league, scrapping and clawing for everything. That should be the last thing that needs to be asked of us or talked about; how hard we’re competing. That should be a given. When we wake up in the morning, we should be like, ‘We got to get to the court.’ … Everyone has to come with it.”

The Pistons lost to the Raptors by 29 points. Cunningham had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes. He finished with a plus-minus of -22.

Cunningham is averaging 21.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists on the season while shooting 40.4% from the field, 31.4% from beyond the arc and 84.3% from the free-throw line.
